Silence

5th, Dec, 1998. slightly rainy and Cold. Today is important to Tom because Tom is introducing his new idea for the newest project in the meeting room. Suddenly, his phone is ringing, he apologizes for it and goes outside to picks up his phone. His boss feels tom is not professional and respectful to the meeting. There is a aged and hoarse voice from the other side of phone. "Here is Mike, I am a neighbor of your grandpa......" After hanged up his phone, Tom looks so sad and powerless. Even though he feels his boss is pissed off by him, but he still tells his boss he needs to go back to his hometown for a few days to deal with something, and he takes his car key from his desk, [[Driving all the way back to his hometown, which is a little and old town.]] [[chapter2]]

Now it is 6:30 PM, rainning outside. He has reached at [[his hometown]]. The sky is darker and daker. Tom even can't see his hands if the time is at 8PM. He gets off his car. By the way, he goes to eat dinner before going to his grandpa's house. He walks around on the street and looks for a restaurant, but he still can't make a decision. Because this downtown has been here for 80 years and never restores. Finally, he feels really starving and randomly goes to a restaurant. [[chapter3]] <audio src="rain-03.mp3" autoplay loop>

The waiter sees someone coming, go up to Tom, and put down the menu and a glass of water. Tom takes a casual look on the menu and order an Omelette. Tom finds that the look of this restaurant is very shabby, even the paper on the menu is yellow. Perhaps it is just fit to his aesthetic so that he doesn't feel disgusted. These antiquated things becomes a unique aspect of this restaurant. After 15 mins, his omelette is coming. When he looks at the omelette, he finds out there is no egg in his omelette. Kind of weird, it is supposed to cook with eggs. He waves his hand to call the waiter, and ask him why there is no egg with his omelette. "Sor....so...sorrrrrrryy, si...i...sir." [[waiter]] says that with stutter and smile. "We....we...we......d...do...not...se...se...sell eggs." [[Do not bear anything anymore.]] [[Bear it and calm down.]]

Tom takes a long breathing and says "it is okay, never mind, thanks", but actually he still feels confused why they don't offer eggs. At this moment, he just wants to finish this freakin omelette and have a good rest in his grandpa's house so he doesn't think of it too much. After finished his dinner, he goes back to his car and drive to his grandpa's house. [[chapter5]]

Today is such a really hard time for Tom. He could be fired because he absents the important meeting. And this dinner ruins the rest part of today. Tom can't bear it anymore. He throws the omelette to the face of the waiter, And pushes hard to the stuttered waiter and say trash to him. Whatever what bad words tom says to him, he still keep smiling and saying with stutter "NNNNooo....so....sssooo...rry, s...ss..sirr." Tom gives vent to all his anger on the waiter. [[chapter4.11]]

After that, Tom goes out of the restaurant. It is 7:30 PM right now. Colder and darker than before. The street is already deserted. Because no people walks on the street, and the lights on the street are bad so they are flashing irregularly. Tom obviously doesn't focus on this deserted street because his attention is still on unhappy things. Creepy step. Someone is following him. Too noisy outside because of heavy raining. He doesn't realize the voice of steps from the back. ALso, it is so difficult to see anything in this dark environment. When Tom tries to open the door of his car, someone seals his mouth and stabs him from the back. Tom falls down on the ground. At this moment, he sees a smiling face. He remembers this smile, he saw it for 5 mins ago. As time goes by, his blood is coming out a lot, and his body slowly feels numb and cold until he dies. Ending. Since he went into this forest, he saw it again and again. He feels that is kind of annoying. Tom thinks if it appears next time, he will slow down and watch it clearly because he wants to what the heck it is. After 2mins, he watches it clealy this time. It is [[a handcrafting work]]. [[Get off car and pick it up]] [[Ignore it and continue driving]]

Tom gets off car and walks into the wet glassland. crouches down and picks up this triangle thing. He is focusing on it to figure it out what the heck it is. There are a few question showing up in his brain. What is it? What is its meaning? who makes it? Why does it appear anywhere in this forest? ...... He thinks about them for a while, but he doesn't have any answer. He starts to go back to his car and keep going. Raining is heavier and heavier. Tom has been sleepy due to long way drive. As the heavier raining, he is supposed to drive safer. However, he doesn't drive slow, and drive faster than before because he knows he almost runs out of his energy. [[chapter5.13]]

He thinks maybe it is just a tree or something like a human shape, he is just too tired to make it clear. And continue driving to his grandpa's house. Out looking is been old and not solid. Sighing by Tom. After finished parking, he moves his backpack and suitcase into house. He can't wait to take a good shower and go to sleep, even falls asleep in 5 secs. He is really tired so that he doesn't hear and realize anything weird. [[chapter6]]

When Tom is going to open the door, his eyes are attracted by something on the sofa. He walks to [[it]] and has a closer look. He is shocked for a while and can not understand why it appears in his granpa's home. He has to sit down and deeply breathe so he probably calms down a little bit. He feels this freaking place is just so weird and creepy like there is something watching him and play prank with him. "Fk, Damn it" he says. And throw it into fire. Tom thinks he has to take a walk to distract. Staying at home is really suffering for him. He is ready to go and open the door. "Fk, why does it appear anywhere?" he says depressedly. [[There is one more triangle symbol in front of the door]]. He said many, many ,many, tons of F words to express his anger. These stupid things are ruining all of his mood today. He doesn't go anywhere and just want to stay at home. [[chapter9]]

"Duang...duang...duang" his car key dropped on the ground of the guest room, near his bed. But obviously, he didn't realize it. "What the hell did I do today? It is such wasting time." He said. Tom goes downstair and is going to grab something to eat. He is so starving right now. At the time he eating, he sees [[someone is standing outside]], with no hair, but from the body feature, it is thin and scrubby, he thinks she is a woman. "That's so weird, nobody will come out and stand on the street at night in America, esspecially in this bad weather and creepy forest." voice from his heart. His curiousness is driving him. The door is almost broke by that no eyes woman!! Tom is shaking and too scary to stand up. He is trying to connect all the things that happened on him so far. [[Run!!!!!!]] [[Give up..]]

Her step is closer and closer to Tom. Tom's heartbeat is faster and faster. Tom is trying to hold his breath and not make any sound. But she looks knowing where Tom is hiding and walks forward to him. "There is no way to run." voice from his heart. She finds Tom. And he directly passes out. When Tom woke up, he was fixed on the wood board in a basement. He tried to move his hands and feet, but all of them are useless. He knows what will happen to him because he sees his grandpa who is next to him. His grandpa has died for a few months, he looks slimy and smells rotted. So many maggots creep on him and eat his rotted meat. And no eyes on his face. Tom eventually knows how his grandpa died, and he starts to cry and complain about why he is that curious.
