Hi, my name is Jiajie Zeng. I lived in China since I was born, and I graduated from Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic in 2014 as my major was software engineering. After graduated, I started my career in a game company that was concentrated in the online mobile game. I grow up with video games and really like it because the video game is one of the digital art performances and a combination of code and art. It leads me to the road of digital art and inspires me to discover what I can do in my best in this field. Thus, I decided to start the journey of studying aboard in the U.S and try to become a digital media artist.
When I start to get to learn different kinds of techniques about digital art, I find out that I really enjoy making glitch art, editing photograph and video. These things make me realize why enjoying life is so important to an artist at every moment. Art comes from life and appears anywhere like in a street or on a wall. No matter people feel happy or sad, there are always many beautiful places in the world that waiting for them to find out. As an artist, I like digging out and record the beauty that people don't notice or miss in busy life through my camera so that people can review the beauty they missed and realize there is a beautiful world.
For my career goal, I want to be a video editor who can edit a video with the coolest effects. Those effects will make the video look nicer, cooler and more meaningful because editing a video with different ways and effects will bring different visual experiences to the audience. Sometimes, I would like to add some three-dimension objects into the video so that the audience will think about whether it is real or fake. I think it is a good way to express my thought that appears in my brain every day.
